Verenika Perla | Symbiotic Drift
Verenika Perla’s practice is grounded in paradox, multiplicity, and the search for ways out of dualistic thinking. Working across painting and installation, she explores perception as a fluid and unstable field where logic collapses and new meanings emerge. Her works offer an experience of “vision reset,” inviting viewers to construct sense independently rather than follow fixed interpretations.
Drawing from psychology, philosophy, optics, quantum physics, and futurology, Perla creates multilayered visual and emotional environments. Instead of static images, she builds sensations of transition, oscillating between clarity and uncertainty.
She studied Contemporary Art at the British Higher School of Art and Design (Faculty of Contemporary Art, MSCA) and has taken part in workshops with leading international artists. Her recent exhibitions include What I Am Building (2025) and the MSCA Faculty and Student Exhibition at GUM-Red-Line (2025). She was shortlisted for the Leshchuk Foundation Prize (2025) and received the national Palitra Talantov Award (2024).
