Elena Le Taon Binder | Symbiotic Drift
Elena Le Taon Binder's practice moves between sculpture, painting, performance, and architectural interventions. She explores trauma and the loss of ethnic identity as interwoven experiences shaped by family histories and cultural displacement. With a background in architecture, she employs structural thinking, analytical methods, and a pared-down visual language to construct both physical and emotional spaces.
Her work treats vulnerability as a shared condition rather than a private confession, opening dialogue about the consequences of losing personal and cultural foundations. Through minimal forms and hybrid practices, Fattakhova creates environments for connection, support, and collective reflection.
Based in Baar, she studied at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (M.Sc. Archineering), Ufa State Petroleum Technical University (Diploma in Civil Engineering), and later attended the Freie Kunstschule Stuttgart. Recent projects include LENAsAKT (LENNART, Stuttgart, 2024–25), Entering the Liminal (Sabantuy Festival, Tbilisi, 2025), and Defence Mechanisms (HDH BAWUE, Stuttgart, 2022).
