Ekaterina Guskova | Symbiotic Drift
Ekaterina Guskova’s practice emerges from lived experience of trauma, abandonment, and loss. Her work explores how early ruptures inscribe themselves into identity, shaping both perception of the self and of the body. Through art she searches for forms of healing and ways to render inner states visible, transforming vulnerability into a shared field of reflection.
Working across painting, sculpture, and video, Guskova translates psychological conditions into tactile and visual registers. Her figures and gestures oscillate between fragility and resilience, embodying the tension between exposure and concealment. Rather than illustrating events, her works articulate atmospheres of mental vulnerability, making visible what is often hidden or silenced.
She studied easel painting at the Moscow College of Culture and Arts and participated in the Conceptual Art Studio Program, Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov (2025). Her recent exhibitions include Clean Fest (Moscow, 2025) and several online projects with Project Squid, including States of Becoming and The Outsider Within (2025).
