Alessandra BB | Symbiotic Drift
Alessandra BB (b. 1986, Vitebsk, Belarus) is an artist based in Barcelona. After years in the fashion industry, where she witnessed how beauty standards and stereotypes erode authenticity, she turned to art as a way to reclaim vulnerability and shared humanity. Her practice spans painting, installation, and performance, often taking the form of rituals or quiet gestures of support. Working with memory, identity, and the body, she creates spaces where hidden beauty surfaces beneath social pressure and expectation.
She studied fashion design at Istituto Europeo di Design in Barcelona. Recent exhibitions include Relationship (G. Gallery, Barcelona, 2024), In/Visible: The Changing Shape of Womanhood (Galerie de L’Est, Compiègne, 2025), and Feminitivas (G. Gallery, Barcelona, 2024). Her work has also been shown at 59 Rivoli (Paris), VAN DER PLAS Gallery (New York), and international art fairs in Madrid, Frankfurt, and beyond.
