Alessandra BB | Symbiotic Drift
Alessandra BB’s practice engages memory, identity, and the body, unfolding through painting, installation, and performance. Her works often appear as rituals or quiet gestures of support, creating spaces where vulnerability and hidden forms of beauty emerge beneath social pressures and expectations.
Based in Barcelona, she came to art after more than a decade in the fashion industry, an experience that sharpened her awareness of how standards of beauty can erode authenticity. This rupture became the ground for her current inquiry into resilience, intimacy, and shared humanity.
She studied fashion design at Istituto Europeo di Design in Barcelona. Recent exhibitions include Relationship (G. Gallery, Barcelona, 2024), In/Visible: The Changing Shape of Womanhood (Galerie de L’Est, Compiègne, 2025), and Feminitivas (G. Gallery, Barcelona, 2024). Her work has also been presented at 59 Rivoli (Paris), VAN DER PLAS Gallery (New York), and international art fairs in Madrid and Frankfurt.
